Why does my breaker keep tripping?
A breaker may trip because of an overloaded circuit, a short circuit, a ground fault, defective equipment, or a failing breaker. Repeatedly resetting a breaker without finding the cause is not recommended.

A burning odor may indicate overheated wiring, loose electrical connections, or a damaged outlet. Turn off power to the affected circuit if it is safe to do so and contact an electrician immediately.

Yes. Water intrusion can damage electrical equipment and create serious safety hazards. If your panel has been exposed to water, have it inspected before using it.
Electrical Safety
What should I do before the electrician arrives?
If it is safe to do so, turn off power to the affected circuit, avoid touching damaged wiring or equipment, and keep family members away from the hazardous area.
